URGENT SAFETY NOTICE MASKS WITH MAGNETS – POTENTIAL MAGNETIC INTERFERENCE WITH CERTAIN MEDICAL DEVICES

Following our suppliers’ recommendations, this warning applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask.

Keep mask magnets at a safe distance of at least 150 mm (6 inches) from implants or medical devices likely to be affected by magnetic interference.

Medical implants/devices, including those listed in the contraindications, may be adversely affected if they change function under the effect of external magnetic fields, or if they contain ferromagnetic materials that attract/repel magnetic fields.

Ask your doctor and the manufacturer of your implant or other medical device for information on the potential adverse effects of magnetic fields.

  • Ocular implants
  • Metallic splinters in the eye
  • Metal contact lenses
  • Implants to restore hearing or balance with implanted magnets
  • Dental implants
  • Cranial plates
  • Drill hole covers
  • The screws
  • Gastro metal clips
  • Bone replacement devices
  • Magnetic metal implants labeled unsafe for magnetic resonance or evaluated as unsafe in a magnetic field
