Frequently Asked Questions

What is an outpatient sleep study?

An at-home sleep study is a test performed in the comfort of your own home to evaluate certain respiratory parameters while you sleep. It is an effective way to screen for sleep apnea in many patients.

The technologies used today provide accurate and reliable data. However, only sleep apnea is assessed in a home-based study. A clinic-based test provides a more in-depth evaluation and can identify other sleep disorders in addition to sleep apnea, as there are more than 80 types of sleep disorders.

Our professionals will send you a link to an installation video to clearly explain how to install and use the equipment.

Once the data has been analyzed, we explain the results to you in a clear and easy-to-understand way. If treatment is recommended, we’ll guide you through the next steps with solutions tailored to your situation and lifestyle.

We provide compassionate, personalized care before and after the evaluation. Our experienced team focuses on clear explanations, prompt follow-up, and patient comfort to ensure a reassuring and professional experience.

The data collected is analyzed by qualified professionals with in-depth expertise in sleep health. Our team works in collaboration with a neurologist specializing in sleep to ensure a thorough interpretation and personalized recommendations.

Screening tests

In our four branches, we offer screening tests and a meeting with a certified respiratory therapist to determine your needs. Screening tests are performed in the clinic, and fees apply.

It is also possible to undergo a laboratory test to qualify your sleep and detect any disorders preventing you from getting the most out of your sleep. During this test, the person simply sleeps. Their sleep is analyzed and scrutinized using various measuring instruments and observation. To do this, the customer must spend a full night at our Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby branch (head office). It’s a highly instructive experience, as it provides a clear indication of the presence and nature of one or more sleep disorders.
