Myoclonus

Myoclonus refers to sudden and involuntary muscular contractions. Because of this, it is very different from our intentional movements. Myoclonus is caused by an abnormal discharge of neurons (nerve cells).

Although it is not considered as a sleep disorder in and of itself, these spontaneous and involuntary tremors nevertheless disrupt sleep to different extents.

Do you have questions about myoclonus? Contact us for more information or to schedule an appointment with our specialists. Planning a screening test is easy.
